One year ago ....

I am so busy that is not even funny ... so tired that I should seriously just got to bed and forget about this post, let this be the moment for remembering this beautiful moment that happened on year ago, my election as AI director.

We are leaving tomorrow morning for IPM 2006, here in the Netherlands, again to select another AI team for the next term. So fast? Where did the last 8 months go? It's awesome at least through pictures to remember this inmense magic and ilusion of becoming an AI member ... I would repeat this process 40 times if needed... it was such a peak moment in my recent life ... will always be I guess ... at the same time it's impressive to see how magic and ilusion turned into challenge, comittment, maturity around what you can change in a year and what definitively not, and even a routine to deliver ona job role ...
but no ... I just realized no, magic is never gone, and will never ... can't wait for IPM to see my MCPs, refresh myself and refresh the legacy that I still have to leave in the next 5 months.

http://blogscolombia.com/

Ok, for the colombian bloggers, foreigners in Colombia bloggers or just people that blog consistently about Colombia, here are the news:

I got an email from a colombian girl living in Holland, that found my blog randomly on the web, and well, she simply droped a line to suggest me to register my blog there. I found the site quite cool, and so I did. They have by today 1380 blogs registered, organized by key categories, being the majority of them, simply personal ones (as mine).
I think it's nice - with a lot of similarities to Nomadlife, like showing recety updated blogs, as recently registered ones, blogs of the week, search option and so on. Another tool to try to find out what are people thinking back home ...
Now, the funniest think, is that today I went to the site to confirm the registration of my blog (as it was notified by e-mail), and on the -Flickr photo show- of the home page, I see a picture of Naaz! jajaja Naazi watch out to see who is using your pictures! Thus I can imagine couple of AIESEC trainees in Colombia hae registered also there (maybe it's a quite old thing and I just discovered it)
Anyways ... again, I also through the page discovered two Oriana's more with blogs ...

For other latin people, there are also verey similar sites that put together bloggers from Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela and more ...

BlogPeru - Bitácoras Peruanas
EcuaBlogs - Comunidad Blog en Ecuador Bitacoras.net - Bitácoras Latinoamericanas
Veneblogs.com - Bitácoras Venezolanas
BlogsMexico.com - Bitácoras Mexicanas

Ulli

Ulli & Oriana, Erasmus bridge, Jan 06

She was here. Thanks for that one "Levri".

For those who do not know, SHE IS GERMAN, is some aspects so german (cooking nicely, bringing chocolates and gummies) but in some other she is "so not german". She is the kind of friends that really mean a: "How are you?" and you seriusly can't lie about your answer.

I think the post in her blog about coud describe the best way her stay here ... go for it ...

"I had been travelling a lot - without moving? I hope not so,..from my blog entries though one could think I haven't.
It had been time to catch up to a co-traveller, that shared and still is sharing many of my questions, though we are very different, fulfilling each other, maybe.;) At least I am the better cook, and she is more the pilot, when I'm chaos. Has it changed?
I decided to connect visiting some organisations in Hamburg with a weekend in Rotterdam, before we'd both be off to new adventures again. The stories and memories from the old days filled the first day, before we went into future plans, new ideas, India, conflict resolution in Austria and the potential of chairs in @.
it's all about the process. We did not have a fixed agenda for these days, but I somehow feel we'll have connected agendas again in the future..bebe, be good!!"

Turning 25

My 25th birthday has been the 3rd one in a row I spend abroad, and the 4th I spend abroad in general... after celebrating my 23s in Austria, my 24s in Brazil, now Rotterdam was the host of one of the coolest birthdays ever. Thanks Team.

AI office

Morning welcoming in the office was lots of fun ... I personally forget a lot about birthdays, even of people I really care about, that is why since days before I was reminding everyone about it - I wanted to have a special day - period! And it was, starting with this "nice handmade poster" :) hanging in front of my desk in the office. Thanks Sveta, dear roomy, for this as for the flowers.

When it comes about presents (sure I love them...) there was again a tie between team, Dey's present, and my boyfriend 's one ... the team gave a totally practical suitcase, exactly what I need for the next round of country visits... Dey, well, you know what you did and I swear I will never get such a present ever again, and Javisent flowers (tullips, I never had them before!), he will never stop surprising me I guess ...

As kind of after party ... the "wig show" started ... for those who wanna make fun of some of the most serious ever AI members, here you go ... NOTICE, the second one in the upper row is Romas!

Besides all this funkyness, being able to reach 25 years is a blessing, and an invitation of life to keep walking, keep excelling in all what I do and keep trusting my own decisions and feelings with an incredible presistence - this is exactly how I feel... Not old, but with a sense of serenity around what I can do that I never felt before. Not a child anymore, but still very inocent deep inside my heart and feeling actually proud of it. Independence does not relate at all to your age, but maybe by chance, with the start of my 25, I feel that so many decisions I wanted to take before are finally so close to be taken. Impetus, that's what I feel. I guess this is one of the greatest feelings you can ever experience in life. .. may my 25th year be the year of impetus ...
