My sister made it to Italy to visit our family!!

I just had to post about this!!

(It was also about time to write on my blog again ... too much work at Endeavor, the MBA application, and the opening of Sizzlers mistakenly became my own excuses to procrastine this .... terrible!!! how i missed it!)

My younger sister Luchy, who lives in The Netherlands finally made it to Italy! You would say ...."so, what?". Well, Italy is an amazing country, but the hype is not about Italy itself, but about the fact that she made it to the small town in South Italy where our grandmother`s family ancenstors come from. In 2005, I was the first one from the younger "generation" to travel to Italy to get to know them ... I still remember the post I wrote by that time. It is freaky to sit here, today, almost 5 years after to see that the contact with them goes on and more than contact, there is this familiarity. I can`t wait for the day they come for a Colombia familiy reunion!

Now the next one is my mom. If all goes well, she`ll make it to Italy this summer - her first time in Europe, ever.
