AND IN THE END IT TURNED INTO A FANTASTIC WEEKEND

On Thursday the weekend promised to be one of the most boring ones I have ever had in Sao Paulo. I WAS JUST SICK, right after having my mentoring chat I started to have such a strong migrane, and it stayed so diring friday and part of saturday.

But as soon as I started to eat good, or better, things just improved. Well, being so sick the days before, I justs didn´t feel like buying stuff and cooking.

1. SATURDAY: I WANT TO EAT SEA FOOD! PUBLIC MARKET

On saturday, I then decided to go out and buy sea food. And specially mussels and shrimps. Yes, expensive, but who cares ? ... in the end of the month I see how I manage. Then Gaudhy (my room mate) suddenly was arriving from a crazy trainee party that took place last night and she decided to join me. Much fun and much better, since we splited the costs :) Seemed like a deal, I cook, she washes the dishes.

I must say, it was JUST DELICIOUS. And yes! boyfriend, Ulli, mother and whoever else still doubts of my cooking skills, I can cook!

2. SATUDAY NIGHT: JUST BOHEMIA, MUSIC AND GREAT CONVERSATIONS

Even if not 100 % recovered to go out for hard core party (although we kind of tried to go out of the house calling the MC), I felt much better. Plan for the night? Beer. Well, you know alcohol is not the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking of fun, but living with gaughy, what else can we expect? I was so funny, calling to a Pizzeria to ask for beer and nothing to eat, but they brought it.

WE HAD ONE OF THE BEST CONVERSATIONS EVER ... I need to post on this at some point, but after this night, I can say I feel like doing a traineeship in Peru, living at APU (an awsome set of trainee hostals in Lima, Peru) and getting to know a couple of peruvian alumni that are just (after Gaudhy´s description) the best entrepreneurs ever. Cucha, Ivan, Bat, Alvaro, Naty (well, you I know!!), Ema ... I do not know you and you have no clue who I am, but after this weekend, I feel like I know you since years!

3. SUNDAY: THE SAO PAULO TOURISTS

TOURIST KIT: Cap, Lonely Planet, Digital Camera, comfortable clothing (inlcuding AIESEC T-shirt) and bright smile ... Posted by Hello

Well, I am leaving Sao Paulo the 16th of May to go to Colombia for a couple of days and then to had for Rotterdam, for my AI year, and specially for crazy transition time during summer. I still have a couple of weekends in Brazil and thanks to Gaudhy (who is somehow a tourism and sighseeing freak) they are already completely BOOKED with Sao Paulo tourist stuff.

This weekend then we started with LIBERTADE, the japanese district in Sao Paulo (and the biggest japanese settelment in the world outside Japan) and with the IBIRAPUERA Park, one of the coolest grean spots in a JUNGLE OF CEMENT, that Sao Paulo is. Our friends ... the metro and the very good bus lines of the city of Sao Paulo, we were bit skeptical of finding the right connections, but in the end, it worked out perfectly. Only bit scary thing, was to find the right bus from Praça da Se (pure center of Sao Paulo) till Ibirapuera ... Parça da Se was at that time (3 pm) full of bit scary people, and lots of prostitutes (Gaudhy did not alow me to take some pics!) - but it was a nice experience, you have to experience all!

Metro Ticket - one simple ticket costs 2,10 reais (less than 1 dollar) - however in general transportation is not that cheap here. Posted by Hello

NEXT OF THE PICS YOU SEE WERE TAKEN IN LIBERTADE AND IBIRAPUERA. If one day you come to Sao Paulo, be sure you go there. Hey Gaudhy, thanks for the company :) Gaudhy is moving out of my room next saturday, since she is staying in Sao Paulo, she will move to a cheaper place, so this was also kind of our last weekend as ROOM MATES! Good thing, is that maybe like this, I will stop talking PERUVIAN, is so baaaaaaaad, if you here me now words like "Puta Madre!", "Pucha", "Chancho, chanchito", "Gordito", "Espeso", "Chivolo", "Polo" make part of my vocabulary!
